New information on the Sevierville TN Hamfest !!!!!  Please pass the word so all know !!

The Hamfest has moved next door to where it was, this is because the Sevier County School System canceled all non-affiliated events due to the recent shootings and bombings. It gave us just over a month to get another location, and as of today we will be holding theHamfest at the King Family Library, 408 High Street, just next door to the Sevier County Middle School where it was going to be held…A big thanks to the King Family Library for getting us in with short notice.. Still plenty of room for the boneyard, and plenty of parking for those not setting up in the Boneyard, on both sides of the Library.. and it will be all Blacktop to setup on,..

We have two Classrooms at the Library, for workshops and FCC Testing… Admission after our meeting will now be $5.00, you will have to have a ticket to participate in the Door Prizes, and to eat, which is extra as this is being served by the Sevier County HS Band, which also will go directly to them for their Band Activities…Our sponsors & vendors have not changed,.. Still having the Amateur Radio Car Show, Clubs and the ARRL will be there, this is a ARRL Santioned Event…Talk in will still be the 146.940 repeater of Tim Berry WB4GBI, as well as we will be using DMR TG 424705…

W4VEC, FCC test session this year which will start at 10:30 AM ,cost is 12.00 Cash, get your license on Monday, Tech need photo ID, upgrades bring a copy of your license, new license will be sent to you vis e mail from the FCC..There will be Fourms to attend, Digital Radio, Probagation, Antenna’s and more ….

We also will be doing a Amateur Radio Car Show, for those who would like to show their mobile’s, how they are setup, tell about any information that they encountered, that could help other’s in their installation, their will be a section set aside for these folks, so everyone is together..

Any Ham Radio Club is also welcome to set up and tell about their club or organization, those clubs or organizations can contact me if interested …we will allow 4 members of each club free admission, will require clubs to send a list of those attendings so we have on our list at the gate, only those listed (4) members of that club will have free admission, with your setup, talk about your club and what you all do. Must contact me again with your list by April 15th ..
